Assistant researcher at Instituto de Ciências Sociais da Universidade de Lisboa (ICS-ULisboa)
With a PhD in Sociology at Université Lille 1 and simultaneously at ISCTE- Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, in 2007. Her area of work has been predominantly focused in voluntary associations, developing research on professional, scientific, consumers, women’s and worker’s associations, among others. She has been participating in national and European projects since 1998, and has been giving classes since 2000 At the different levels of higher education. Nowadays, she coordinates the project «REP - Representatividade dos parceiros sociais e o impacto na governação económica» financed by FCT (2018-2021), and is the Portuguese representative in the European project «DIRESOC - Digitalização e reestruturação: qual o diálogo social?», financed by the European Commission (2018-2020). Raquel Rego is also coordinator of the Comissão Organizadora dos Seminários Responsible Research and Innovation of ICS-ULisboa since 2016. In 2018, she founded a thematic section «Sociedade Civil, Economias Alternativas, Voluntariado» along with Cristina Parente e Silva Ferreira, of Associação Portuguesa de Sociologia.
